Nickel Aluminum Bronze (9-D) Bar Stock

C-955

Known as Nickel Aluminum Bronze, this cast alloy is one of the toughest non-ferrous alloys. It stands up to extreme conditions and has exceptional yield, and excellent compressive strength and hardness. A non-leaded “green” alloy, it maintains great heat and corrosion resistance with good machinability and weldability. Ideal for high strength bearings, this material is commonly used in everything from piano keys to aircraft landing gear.

Typical Uses

Industrial - Machine parts, wear plates, glass molds, welding jaws, aircraft components, pickling equipment, valve guides, valve seats, valve bodies, valve components, piston guides, pump fluid ends, worms and worm wheels, landing gear parts, sewage treatment applications, bearings, bushings, wear plates and liners, gears, landing gear parts, handgun recoil mechanisms, glands, hot mill guides

This aluminum bronze offers superior strength and corrosion resistance. It is an all-purpose aluminum bronze and is ideal for heavy-duty load and abrasive conditions. The cast alloy should be used against steel shafts, though, as it does not tolerate misalignment. It is most used in heavy duty mechanical and structural projects.

Typical Uses

Industrial - Gears, seats, worm drives
